The synopsis goes something like this ... After an outbreak of a mysterious virus, the world becomes dominated by vampires, along with the traitorous Vichys. An atheist named Gwen Waters (Karp) leaves the small town of St. Anthony to find the alcoholic Priest Joe Cahill (Gibson) and bring him back to her town to give hope to the human dwellers. Father Joe rebuilds the church with the support of some locals but is attacked by vampires and the Vichys, headed by the evil Father Alberto Palmeri (Schwartz). |

Something to sink your teeth into ... The screenplay was co-written by best-selling horror author F. Paul Wilson. The movie, however, was directed by a special effects make-up guy, Mandile. Wilson was none too happy with the film adaptation of his early work The Keep (1983), directed by Michael Mann (Heat, Collateral) and starring Scott Glenn and Jurgen Prochnow.
