The synopsis goes something like this ... In the near future with a intergalactic vampire plague threatening earth, an expedition is sent to a distant galaxy in hopes of discovering the plague's source. Landing on a mysterious planet they discover that Spectrum radiation has turned the atmosphere into a one-color tint. Exploring further, the group discovers living dinosaurs, a race of vampire cavemen, and other strange creatures. |

Something to sink your teeth into ... For this color film Adamson used footage from a black and white Filipino movie called Tagani (1965) with his own, and apparently one of the characters switches periodically between being Filipino and Caucasian. Classic! Of course, you couldn't have a tacky movie featuring vampires in the '60s without Carradine, so he was thrown in as well. The movie seems to be so bad it has had to keep changing its name - from Blood Creatures from the Prehistoric Planet to Creatures of the Prehistoric Planet to Creatures of the Red Planet to Space Mission to the Lost Planet and to Vampire Men of the Lost Planet.
