An American Vampire Story

17. AN AMERICAN
VAMPIRE STORY

You're not going anywhere!

Released: 1997
Director: Luis Esteban (debut).
Starring: Carmen Electra, Adam West, Trevor Lissauer, Johnny Venocur, Danny Hitt and Debra Xavier.

The synopsis goes something like this ...

With his parents away in Europe, Frankie (Lissauer) plans to spend the summer goofing-off on the beach. He soon meets Moondoggie (Venocur), a con artist with a pair of beautiful babes (Electra and Xavier) who convince Frankie to let them stay at his house. When Frankie learns that the threesome have some secrets, he finds the Big Kahuna (West), a legendary vampire killer who teaches Frankie how to solve all of his problems.

Something to sink your teeth into ...

What would you expect when Electra is the star? The director, Esteban, has been downgraded to simply working as a transportation office coordinator on such films as Training Day (2001) and Alpha Dog (2006). The film might have some appeal though with 1960s' Batman - West - in there as a vampire hunter ... and maybe the aforementioned Electra.

Reviews from people who've seen it ... Rambles, Mermaid Heather
