Dean Stockwell as The Werewol of Washington

1973 | WEREWOLF OF WASHINGTON

Makes it perfectly clear

Genre: Comedy/Horror
Director: Milton Moses Ginsberg (Coming Apart,
The City Below The Line).
Starring: Dean Stockwell as Jack Whittier aka The Werewolf, Katalin Kallay as Giselle Whittier and Jane House as Marion.

The synopsis goes something like this ...
The film centres around the hair-raising adventures of Stockwell's political reporter, Jack Whittier. After having an affair with the daughter of 'The President' (Biff McGuire), he is sent to Hungary on assignment, where he is subsequently bitten by a werewolf. Upon returning to Washington D.C., he gets a job as press assistant to 'The President' .... by day. By night he roams the city's streets as a werewolf, terrorizing the residents of the nation's capital.

Something to sink your teeth into ...
The low-budget film is described as a 'biting' (boom boom) political satire of Richard Nixon's presidential administration. "This administration cannot survive a werewolf scandal! What we need is a scapegoat for the media ... and a goat for Jack - he looks hungry,'' so says 'The President'.

IMDb Rating: 3.6
