2010 | THE WOLFMAN

When the moon is full the legend comes to life

Genre: Drama/Fantasy/Horror
Director: Joe Johnston (Honey, I Shrunk The Kids, The Rocketeer, Jurassic Park 3, Hidalgo).
Starring: Benicio Del Toro as Lawrence Talbot aka The Wolfman, Emily Blunt as Gwen Conliffe, Anthony Hopkins as Sir John Talbot and Hugo Weaving as Insp. Francis Abberline.

The synopsis goes something like this ...
Like the original and set in the 1880s, Del Toro's Lawrence Talbot returns home to merry old England and reacquaints himself with his estranged father Sir John (Hopkins) after the brutal murder of his brother. Setting out to find the culprit, Lawrence gets a little more than he bargains for when it becomes apparent a werewolf has been at work, and is about to pass on its curse when he comes face to face with it.

Something to sink your teeth into ...
When Rick Baker, who is said to have become a make-up artist because of The Wolf Man (1941), heard that this film was being made he called Universal Pictures to request working on it. Del Toro's make-up took approximately three hours to apply and one hour to remove.

IMDb Rating: N/A
