The synopsis goes something like this ...
Sixteen-year-old Loren (Dobrev) doesn't take too kindly to the appearance of the newest member of neighborhood, Jared (Stebbings). Suspecting the mysterious stranger to be a fully-fledged werewolf, particularly after he happens to bite her friend, she teams with a minor celebrity hunter, Redd (Sorbo), in a bid to stop his blood-lust.

Never Cry Werewolf is a made-for-TV movie from The Sci-Fi Channel which is primarily a remake of Fright Night (1985) but with werewolves in place of vampires, and doesn't have that really dorky guy in the glasses ... but does have that dorky guy from Hercules.
