1968 | LA MARCA DEL HOMBRE LOBO

See the Wolf Monster attack - lusting, slashing, ripping in a gory, flesh-hungry, blood-mad massacre

Genre: Drama/Horror

The synopsis goes something like this ...
This Spanish-made film is the first in a series featuring the legendary Naschy as Count Waldemar Daninsky the werewolf. The Count is attacked one evening while out hunting by a werewolf, who, when in human form goes by the name of Imre Wolfstein. After eventually turning into a furry beast himself and going on a killing-spree, the Count seeks help from a couple of local vampires, but they end up betraying him by pitting him against Wolfstein, who they have resurrected from the grave.

Something to sink your teeth into ...
Naschy would end up playing Count Waldemar Daninsky in 12 films from this to 2003's Tomb of the Werewolf, easily surpassing The Wolf Man's Lon Chaney Jnr (7) as the actor to have played a werewolf on film the most. Naschy wrote most of the screenplays too, including the one for La Marca del Hombre Lobo. Also known as The Mark of the Wolfman, Hell's Creatures, The Wolfman of Count Dracula and most notably Frankenstein's Bloody Terror, even though there was no Frankenstein or Frankenstein's Monster in it.

IMDb Rating: 3.3
