Genre: Drama/Fantasy Director: Katja von Garnier (Noiseless, Bandits). Starring: Agnes Bruckner as Vivian, Hugh Dancy as Aiden, and Olivier Martinez as Gabriel.
The synopsis goes something like this ... A young werewolf named Vivian (Bruckner), whose parents were hunted down and killed in Colorado's Rocky Mountains 10 years earlier and has been raised in Romania by her aunt ever since, is forced to choose between continuing the family tradition of 'running with the pack' - and becoming a mate for its leader Gabriel (Martinez) - or running off with a visiting American cartoonist - and non-werewolf - Aiden (Dancy).
Something to sink your teeth into ... The blood and chocolate of the title refers to lycanthropy and humanity respectively. The film is based on a novel by Annette Curtis Klause, released in 1997. The book was originally adapted into a script by Christopher Landon whose father Michael Landon of course had the leading role in I Was a Teenage Werewolf (1957).
