THEN: 25
Born into a wealthy family - both his parents were attorneys - his part as the down-trodden rebel for a generation, John Bender, in THE BREAKFAST CLUB was the complete opposite of what he was used in real life. Just his third movie after teen comedies MAKING THE GRADE (1984) and FANDANGO (1985), with KEVIN COSTNER, Judd quickly soared to stardom and was just as quick coming back down after another Brat Pack flick ST ELMO'S FIRE (1985) and the well-respected TV mini-series BILLIONAIRE BOYS CLUB (1987), in which he received a Golden Globe Best Actor in a TV Movie or Mini-Series nomination. Picking up two straight Razzie Worst Actor Award noms for BLUE CITY (1986) and FROM THE HIP (1987) did not augur well though. |

You know how you said before, how your parents use you to get back at each other? Wouldn't I be outstanding in that capacity?

NOW: 50
Trying to recover from a disasterous end to the '80s, Judd had reasonable parts in confronting drama NEW JACK CITY (1991) and the comedy AIRHEADS (1994) and 71 appearances in sit-com SUDDENLY SUSAN (1996-99), but more recently starring in a host of really bad TV movies like CYBERMUTT (2001) and then alongside C. THOMAS HOWELL in THE DAY THE EARTH STOPPED (2008), another dodgy sci-fi from rip-off merchants The Asylum says a bit about where his career has gone unfortunately. He does save some grace with a cameo on the brilliant THE FAMILY GUY (2006) as John Bender, and a role in BOONDOCK SAINTS 2: ALL SAINTS DAY (2009). |

I think that there's room for everyone. I don't think that if one person succeeds then another must fail. That's lunacy
