They mightn't be as well-known as Dolly the sheep, but the movie industry has produced its own fair share of intriguingly cloned mammals over the years - from Arnold Schwarzenegger to Scarlett Johansson.

Long before boring old scientists made science-fiction a reality alien seeds were the fathers of cloning, creating Pod People in the classic INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS (1956). The bad news there though was the fact the human template would be destroyed.

When cinema decided humans themselves had the power of making exact replicas of people evil was still at work with ADOLF HITLER clones the basis for the powerful THE BOYS FROM BRAZIL (1978).

The Clones of Bruce Lee (1977) And while it may have had good intentions, THE CLONES OF BRUCE LEE (1977) was itself pure evil, described as "The Mount Rushmore of Bruceploitation films", and the "PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE of Hong Kong cinema", meaning it's bad, really, really bad.

You won't find THE CLONES OF BRUCE LEE here on this list, nor will there be an appearance by two other action movie legends SIGOURNEY WEAVER and CHRISTOPHER REEVE, or their clones for that matter.

Both starred in fourth installments of their own series, ALIEN RESURRECTION (1997) and SUPERMAN IV: THE QUEST FOR PEACE (1987), and both centred around the creation of a supreme being through the use of their DNA, the Alien Ripley and Nuclear Man. But both films are better left forgotten.

WARNING: There will be spoilers in certain listings.
